Gerald Poss was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1965 and founded the law firm of Gerald Poss, P.A. in 1971; and was later admitted to the New York State Bar in 1982, enabling him to expand service to clients with interests in the state of New York. Mr. Poss has accumulated over 50 years of invaluable life, litigation, and general practice, experience that has been used on behalf of clients from all walks of life. His extensive knowledge of the law and cultivated problem solving capabilities, coupled with general concern and respect for others, has lead to countless resulting successes for his clients achieved with both expediency and efficiency.

Gerald Poss has served as an assistant corporation counsel for the city of Newark, a member of the South Orange Rent Control Board, a Matrimonial Early Settlement Panelist, and a member of the District Ethics Committee. He is a longtime member of the Essex County and New Jersey State Bar Associations and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

Harvey Rothman was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar in 1989, and was also admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the District of Columbia and New York State, as well as the Third Circuit Court Of Appeals, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Southern District of New York, The United States Tax Court, and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Rothman’s most extensive experience is within the areas of criminal and civil litigation, while he has also applied his legal abilities to matters pertaining to worker’s compensation, employment discrimination, and school law.
Mr. Rothman is the former Howell Township Public Defender and a former pool attorney for the Monmouth County Public Defender’s office. Mr. Rothman spent time as an adjunct professor of school law and policy at Monmouth University during the early 2000’s and was previously on the faculty of Fairleigh Dickenson University teaching employment law.
Mr. Rothman has represented adult criminal defendants, juveniles, and title IX defendants, as well as numerous Municipal Court defendants over the years. Mr. Rothman has also represented individuals and entities before planning and zoning boards.

Mrs. Robinson has been employed as office manager and lead secretary to the firm since 2005. Her hard work and dedication to excellent customer service and administrative assistance has attributed substantially to the organization and overall functionality of the office and its processes.
